Another amzing remix king, known the world over is Carl Cox. A massive DJ and producer from UK, he plays house and techno music genre and has completed great remixed versions of many popular songs. He began his DJ career somewhere around 1985. In 1998 at 2nd Summer of Love, he played 3 turntables simultaneously from then on he was nicknamed as ‘3 deck wizard’.
He manages two record labels 23rd Century Records and Intec Records. Carl Cox has the distinction of performing in many well known clubs like The Hacienda, Heaven, Shelly’s, Sterns Nightclub, Sir Henry’s in Cork and The Eclipse.
Through ‘Worldwide Ultimatum Records/Edel UK Records’ Carl released his first album called ‘At The End Of The Cliche’ and again in 1999 through same record label he released ‘Phuture 2000’. His third Album ‘Second Sign’ was out in 2005.
His first 3 singles where with ‘Perfecto Records’. His first single ‘I Want You’ was released in 1991 and it entered UK music chart at 23rd position. In 1992, he released his second single called ‘Does It Feel Good To You’ which was at 35th position in UK. The 3rd single ‘The Planet of Love’ was at 44th position in UK and it was released in 1993. Carl made 2 singles with ‘Edel UK Records’, the first one in 1995 was called as ‘Two Paintings and a Drum’ and it was at 24th position on the UK chart. The second single was made in 1998 called ‘The Latin Theme’ and it entered the UK chart at No.52. In 1995 and 1996, Carl Cox was named ‘DJ of the Year’ at an International Dance Award.

- With ‘Worldwide Ultimatum Records’ he did 2 singles ‘Sensual Sophis-ti-cat” / The Player’ in 1996 which entered the UK chart at 25th position and ‘Phuture 2000’ in 1998 which was at no.40 in UK. In a poll carried out by Muzik Magazine, Carl Cox was named as ‘DJ of the Year’ by its readers.
- With ‘Edel UK Records/Worldwide Ultimatum Records’ he did 3 singles. The first one ‘Tribal Jedi’ was in 1996. The 2nd one ‘Dr. Funk’ and the 3rd one ‘The Latin Theme’ was in 1999. In countries like Germany, Scotland, France and Ireland he has been crowned as ‘DJ of the Year’.

- Somewhere in late 1990s he also managed ‘Ultimate Base’. He has played his music on BBC Radio 1 for many years. In 1997, DJ magazine named Carl Cox as the number one DJ on this planet. Music Magazines like Wax, Muzik, DJ and Mixmag have featured Carl Cox on its cover page.
